RANDY J. KERN Managing General Partner Randy arrived at Miles Willard Technologies in 1990 with 16 years of experience in finance, accounting, engineering and marketing. A 1974 graduate of Idaho State University, Randy had received valuable professional training at Arthur Anderson, Boise Cascade Corporation and MotivAction. When Randy joined Miles' highly successful and respected 20-year-old company, it had extensive worldwide product development expertise and an extremely loyal group of talented and creative employees. But Miles had a dream to extend his vision and enterprise well beyond his lifetime, so he and Randy worked together to develop the framework for an employee owned company. On January 1, 1998, Miles Willard Technologies, LLP, was established, and ownership interest is granted to every employee with five years of service. Miles' vision for this company will be complete when 100% of the partnership is owned by the employees. As managing general partner, Randy is in charge of all daily operations, including fiscal, marketing and strategic planning as well as license negotiations for Miles Willard Technologies. Away from work, Randy serves in many capacities on charitable, educational, business and economic boards within the community, and enjoys skiing, golfing, motorcycle touring and traveling with his wife.
