VELDON M. HIX,
Ph.D.
Research Manager
Veldon graduated
from the University of Idaho in 1961 with a B.S. in Animal Science.
He continued his education at Michigan State University where
he received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Food Science in 1963 and
1966, respectively. He worked at Quaker Oats Company, then spent
a number of years at Rogers Brothers Company before joining
Miles Willard Technologies.
Veldon has been published
in several important industry publications such as Cereal Foods
World, Potato Processing, and Snack Foods Processing.
He is a member of
the Institute of Food Technologists, the American Association
of Cereal Chemists, and the American Institute of Baking.
Veldon has been the
research manager for Miles Willard Technologies since 1980.
He is a co-inventor
